New scanner arrives

Scanning in Progress

A new piece of kit has arrived, this is a blue light and laser scanner. I have been spending quite some time learning the process and the best way to scan with different objects. This photo is of it scanning an Auroch’s horn which is an extinct type of very large cow for the Neolithic period. As it happens the geometry of this makes it extremely difficult to scan! Trust me!

Anroch horn

Here is an initial test print of the scan. The full size one is currently being printed on the big Raise3D printer. Photos will follow.
